Imphal, Feb 3 : A man, selling compact disc of "Keku Lotpi", a Manipuri Digital film currently being screened at the halls in Imphal, in black without authorised copy rights of the producer has been caught by the volunteers of the Film Forum Manipur.
The caught man was idenitifed as Keithelakpam Premkumar (32) son of Chandramani of Combine Bazar of Churachandpur.
He was produced before the media men today n the office of the Film Forum Manipur at Lamphel.
Chairman of the enquiry committee of the Film Forum Manipur, Surjakanta said, the producer has not given copy right of the "Keku Lopi" to none.
Under an agreement, a copy of the film was given to one Ningthoujam Meghachandra, proprietor of a hall in Churachandpur.
Premkumar are caught when a team of the inquiry committee of the forum investigated when CD copies of the film are found available at the publics, he added.
Premkumar while admitting that he had distributed the CD copies said that on December 15, he steal the first part of the film from projector room of the hall in Churachandpur district and copied it quietly.
He again after keeping the disc in the same place, steal the seond disc again and did the same as earlier.
After taking out seven copies in the CD format of the film, he sold it at the rate of Rs 220 .
While producing Premkumar before the media, the producer of the film, RK Homen, proprietor of the hall at Churachandpur, Meghachandra, advisor of the forum Tejkumar also present.
They said the man caught by them will be handed over to the police for legal action.
