Kohima, February 5 : The Silver Jubilee Celebration of Liangmai Baptist Association was held at Tening town local ground from January 27 to 29 under the theme ‘Celebrate God’s Faithfulness’.
The speakers at the celebrations were Director SEED Ministries limited, Singapore, Rev. Dr. Allan Chan and Director Asia Soul Winners, Dimapur, Rev. G. Khing who delivered spiritual messages saying that Christians celebrate many important days and today is also a special day to prepare our heart as believers to win souls with burning conviction.
A cultural spotlight and jubilee concert was also organized with M.P., Mani Cherenamai, Minister for Planning and Co-ordination, Animal Husbandry and Parliamentary Affairs, Nagaland, T. R. Zeliang, MLA Tarie Zeliang Tening A/C, and MLA Awangbo, Tamei A/C Manipur gracing the function as the chief guest and guest of honours respectively.
In the Inaugural function Rev. Dr. Allan Chan unveiled the Jubilee memorial monolith at Mission Centre Complex, Tening. The celebration of silver jubilee on the theme ‘Celebrate Gods Faithfulness’ was marked by cultural and musical extravaganzas presented by several young talents, choirs and cultural troupes.
ICI Central choir from Churachandpur, Manipur and Nampiliu and Esther Dailiam enthralled the gathering with their special numbers while Tening Village Youth Endeavour performed the cultural items during the three day Jubilee Celebration. Around 3500 Delegates participated in the jubilee celebration.
The Organising committee has acknowledged and expressed words of gratitude to all the committees for rendering their service for the grant success of the jubilee. The closing function was marked by firework display, signifying sound of joyous jubilee celebration and victory.
