THE Meitei Baptist Convention, Manipur (MBCM), has condemned the gruesome killing of the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Kasom Khullen, Thingnam Kishan, his driver Aribam Rajen Sharma and staff Yumnam Token.
Their bodies were found near Taphou Kuki village in Senapati district after being abducted from Ukhrul a few days ago, according to a press release issued by Y Ashis Kumar, general secretary, MBCM.
Meitei Christians will take up the campaign against the killing culture of Manipur and appeal to all in the civil society to get involved in restoring peace and harmony among various tribes and communities of the State, the release said.
The member churches of Meitei Baptist Convention, Manipur, extended their condolence to the bereaved family members of the victims and also appealed to all sects of society in
Manipur to maintain peace and harmony, the release added.
The Meitei Baptist Convention, Manipur is the unified body of Meitei Christians in Manipur involved in transforming individuals and communities.
