Dimapur, February 18 : Consequent upon the recovery of the dead bodies of the kidnapped SDO of Kasem Khullen, Thingnam Kisham and his two subordinate staffs at Taphou Kuki in Senapati District, several apex Tangkhul organizations today termed the incident as shocking and said that the ‘barbaric act goes beyond tolerable limits of humanity’.
The different Tangkhul organisations strongly demanded speedy intervention of the concern authority to book the culprit under the law of the land at the earliest.
An emergency consultation meeting of the Thangkhul Naga Long, Thangkhul Katamnao Saklong, Thangkhul Shanao Long, Mayar Ngala Long, Thangkhul Naga Wungnao Long condemned the ‘gruesome incident’ in the strongest term and have even decided to call a 24 hour bandh starting from 6pm this evening .
“Killing of administrative Officer without any known reason is not only irrational but an insult and an attempt to degrade the entire civil populace,” stated a press statement received here today which was appended by the presidents of the TNL, TKS, TNWL, and TSL and the vice president of TMNL.
The organizations jointly demanded to know the modus operandi of the persons responsible for committing such a heinous crime.
“If at all the deceased officer and his staffs deserves punishment of such a degree it should have come out public before taking up such stringent stations,” the release stated.
Meanwhile, the organisations have also extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
