Imphal , Feb 6 : Pune-based Army Sports Institute has picked up 17 boys from Manipur aged between ten and twelve years, who will be imparted with special training.
The ASI had sent a talent-search team to Manipur on the invitation of the 20th Assam Rifles battalion, who conducted the tests in Chandel district in November last year, an Assam Rifles release said today.
Altogether 300 boys from different parts of the state participated in the selections. The selected boys would leave the state very soon to join the ASI, the statement said.
