Imphal, February 17 : In an embarrassing goof-up, both the champion team and runners-up team of the 26th State Level Polo Tournament have been awarded trophies inscribed with the word "Winner".
The tournament participated by 10 teams was organised by the All Manipur Polo Association.
Entry fee for the tournament was Rs 1100 for each team.

In the final match played at Imphal Polo ground today, Thoubal district Polo Association defeated Chingkheihunba Polo Association, Khurai Kongpal 6-1 .
Members of the Thoubal District Polo Association led by its secretary Soibam Inaocha came to the office of this newspaper this evening and showed the trophies given to the champions and runner-up team.
They also brought another worn-out old trophy given to the runner-up team.
They said that no member of the tournament organising committee could be seen at the end of the final match today.
They further lamented that there was no cash prize with the champions trophy.
