Imphal, January 19: Reacting to a statement of the SP (Thoubal) Clay Khongsai the proscribed PREPAK has clarified that Huidrom Jivan (30) s/o H Shamu of Lilong Nunggei has no connection with the armed outfit.
Contrary to the SP's claim that Jivan was arrested by a frisking part of the district police commandos from Lilong Nunggei area at around 2.50 pm yesterday, a PREPAK release issued by its Thoubal District Commander Yaifanganba accused police commandos of other security forces operating in manipur of falsely implicating and branding innocent persons as UG elements after arrest.
Further alleging that security forces in the State have been infatuated with the agenda of either arresting or slaying at least one person everyday, Yaifanganba opined that the general public are also well aware of such sinister ploy.
