Imphal, January 19: Sports reporter of The Sangai Express M Romen Singh has been chosen for the Best Sport Journalist Award for the year 2008-09 by the Summer Set Cricket Club, Naoriya Pakhanglakpa, Imphal West.
The award is being given every year in connection with the State Level Journalist Ak Gyanendra Memorial Cash Prize Open Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament.
The award will be presented on the concluding day of the tournament on January 25 and it will be handed over by Sports Journalist Arunkumar Amakcham, said a statement.
MLA of Naoriya Pakhalakpa AC RK Anand and president of the Club, Budha Chingtham will grace the occasion as chief guest and president respectively.
