Imphal, April 9 : NCP nominee LB Sona who is also a common candidate of Manipur Democratic Alliance (MDA) in the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency today said that strengthening the integrity of Manipur and removal of AFSPA are the main agendas which he would taken up if elected by the people.
LB Sona said this while addressing an election meeting held at Kongjom Bazar Community Hall today organized by the MDA which was formed by combining four like minded political parties, NCP, MPP, MSCP and NNP with an objective to defeat Congress nominee in the fray for the Outer seat which will witnessed on April 16 .
"I have no money to fight elections but with an objective to save the present highly deteriorated society and serve the people with sincere effort, I am contesting the elections," he said.
The dream of those who wanted to disintegrate the unity of the people of the state by breaking the bond of love between hills and valley people will not be fulfilled at any cost, he promised the gathering stating that people of the state live together sharing any problems together.
He will look after all the shortest and grievances of the people of the seven Assembly segments lying within the Outer constituency which Mani Charenamei had totally neglected during his five tenure as MP from the constituency.
He will invest a major share of the MP Area Development funds for the development of the seven Assembly segments and will never deface from taking up development works to this part where electors have not given the chance to contest elections.
Addressing the gathering former MLA, L Jatra of MPP alleged Mani Charenamei who voted to Parliament of talking only the word of Nagaland.
He challenged the integrity of the Manipur.
So, now time has come to teach a lesson to him by not voting in his favour.
He also said the Congress which is a double standard party will not able to protect the integrity of the state.
The party talk on Nagas integration in Nagaland while when reached in Manipur, they talk on Manipur integrity.
Coming to the ruling Congress led SPF government in the state, Jatra said, under the chief minister, O Ibobi's rule killing of people continue in such a manner, male group of the society will be vanished and the society will dominated by the women.
He also criticized the Congress saying that by sending out Thangso Baite from Churachandpur, the party is trying to defeat LB Sona and to win Mani Charenamei who wanted to the break the unity of the Manipur.
NCP state unit president, Radhabinod Koijam urged the elector to vote for LB Sona so that the state could be saved from disintegration and atrocities meted out by the state agencies.
Only the MDA candidate can shout for the right of the people of the region, he said urging the people to leave the habit of voting to those candidate or party distributing money at the time of elections.
The election rally of the NCP candidate was also conducted at Heirok and Sora area of Thoubal district.
