Imphal, April 12: One G Kadunchung s/o G Gaibulung, chief (khunbu) Soubunglong (Leishok) village has been robbed off cash, digital camera and a licensed SBBL gun (single barrel) by suspected activists of Kuki UG outfit/KNF (Zougam) yesterday.
According to a press release issued by the Soubunglong Village Authority, the incident of robbery took place at a deserted place between Jaojangtek and Leimatak (Apin) river when Kadunchung was travelling in a passenger jeep.
After robbing G Kadunchung off his belongings, the militant forced the jeep to return to Jaojangtek along with them before the vehicle was allowed to resume its journey.
Quoting other people, the village authority said that the armed miscreants also stopped 2/3 other vehicles (Tata Sumos) and looted the passengers.
Saying that the money, licensed gun and digital camera looted from G Kadunchung belong to it, the village authority has appealed to the concerned militants to return them back.
