Imphal, Jan 18 : OUT OF two bombs deposited by suspected militants at the houses of two government officers, one exploded injuring to a MR man detailing as security of an engineer tonight.
Reports said suspected militants hurled a bomb at the house of the PWD executive engineer I Lokendrojit at Uripok Tourangbam Leikai at around 6.40 pm exploded.
In the explosion, an MR personnel detailing as house cum security escort of the EE named Kamsei Kuki hailing from Leimakhong sustained splinters injuries.
The personnel from the 5th MR battalion was on sentry duty at the time of explosion, report said.
He sustained injuries near his right eye and immediately evacuated at RIMS Hospital.
Another bomb was also deposited at the house of one officer of the state agriculture department named Akoijam Imo of Singjamei Oinam Thingel by some miscreants tonight at around 7.25 pm.
The police team safely defused the bomb, report said.
