IMPHAL, Jan 18 : The chairman cum managing director of Shija Hospitals and Research Institute at Langol in Imphal has been adjudged among the top 50 prolific doctor-entrepreneurs who have set a trend for providing quality healthcare in the state. The recognition has been conferred by the Express Healthcare Management, a publication of the Indian Express group in its January 2009 edition.
With this latest recognition Dr. Palin has come in the league of doctors like Dr. Naresh Trehan, the chairman of the Mediciti Gurgaon. Dr. Pratap C Reddy, founder chairman of the Apollo Group Hospitals, Dr. Devi Shetty, chairman of the Narayana Hrudayalaya Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, Dr. Arvind Lal, chairman and MD of Dr. Lal Pathlabs Private Limited, and Dr. Sengamedu Srinivasa Badrinath, chairman emeritus of the Sankara Nethralaya.
Dr. Palin was acknowledged with the title "The glorious leader of Manipur" with the excerpt, "Despite the turbulence in Manipur, he successfully manages to run the largest private hospital in Imphal - Shija Hospitals."
